Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. His parents are Manny James, and Patty James. He is a Nigerian mother, and an American caucasian father. In 2010 he graduated at Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James became famous when he made his on-screen first appearance as a reality television star for The Bachelorette. James was selected as the bachelor of the year on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James is a great fit for the job as he is handsome well-rounded tall and has a sense of humor. Rachael Krakconnell, whom was his girlfriend throughout the season. In 2021, he was partnered by well-known dancer Arnold for season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold were ranked 12th.
